HoMM V is pretty dang good, though. And this is from someone that grew up playing HOMM I-III. Tribes of the East in particular. HoMM 6 was made by Limbic and Black Hole Entertainment.

I said come in! posted:Yeah that is true, I think Heroes III is suppose to be the one with the most customization and accessibility, hence why it is the most popular of the series, followed by HoM&MV, but that being the first 3D game of the series, and pretty old now, it has a lot of issues, and so the impression I get is that fans largely stick to HoM&M III.

DE update: Finding music for karaoke and finding my badge was a whiplash of progress I was not prepared for. Now I have an area that looks like it'll take me an irl day to explore and I just wasted precious game hours whistling on a swing. I can see myself coming back to this game in a year and doing another playthough as an authoritarian tough guy, but I don't know if I can bring myself to roleplay someone interested in, uh, "Advanced Race Theory". Mouse update: now instead of interpreting 20% of single-clicks as double-clicks, it’s risen to 50%. To put it in HoMM3 terms, imagine if half the time you click on the map to move a hero, the hero will instead move one square towards your desired destination and then immediately stop In Pillars of Eternity terms, it means that targeting something with a spell has a 50% chance of being understood as a move command, cancelling the spell and sending your wizard into the fray instead In Monster Train terms, it’s not a problem at all, yay!

So with the announcement last week of the very underwhelming Limited Run Games Monkey Island 30th Anniversary box set (here if you haven't seen it) I figured I'd rank the Monkey Island games.
