I'm surprised, because when I saw a Tim & Eric q&a aftershow in February, Tim got kind of pissy when someone asked him about animation. I'm paraphrasing but "No we're not going to start doing cartoons. I'm a 44 year old man, I want to do things that entertain me. Cartoons are for children." A pleasant surprise nonetheless!

On the one hand, Inception has Vertigo beat by being 148 minutes long compared to 128 minutes. But on the other hand, of the two only Vertigo was released on VHS.

Just finally getting current with on cinema, working my way through season 11 and am now watching Mister America and holy poo poo I can't believe this was released in theaters. somehow i thought it would pretend to be an actual movie, but no it's just a straight up On Cinema movie. i've not finished yet (watching in bits while at work) but when greg showed up and the first thing out of his mouth was an Oh God reference i had to pause i was cackling so much. i'm so glad this exists

Does the movie come with the after-credits segment? I feel like that was pitched as "theaters only" at the time but has to be out there somewhere. Seeing it in a theater was cool because it was a few dozen OC fans that totally got it and then a boomer couple who seemed to just stumble into it. In their defense they stayed for the whole thing and were laughing

I also finally got around to watching Mr. America and it's very appropriate viewing right now during the election. The moment toward the end when Tim drunkenly calls and taunts Rosetti for not being able to convict him is incredibly bleak.
