Yeah I guess they were all on Roosevelt Island, just patiently waiting their turns to march on Freedom Plaza due to COVID distancing. That explains it.

I understand that it is the right thing to do to provide everyone with medical care, however when someone denies to their dying breath that covid 19 is real when they are in fact dying from it, it's distressing. Is it mental illness or are they just so lost in an echo chamber that they simply can't accept reality when it couldn't be any clearer?

The irony of hicks always complaining about the coastal elites looking down on them while constantly doing things that proves that they are in fact just as dumb and ignorant as we always thought they were.

When very, very bad poo poo happens, it's a lot easier to hide in the echo chamber than confront the lovely reality. The trouble is that the lovely reality doesn't really care if you believe in it or not. It's not necessarily a mental illness, it's more of a coping mechanism gone awry.

Yea, it reads more as dudes in the seven stages of loss gettin' stuck in Anger and Bargaining. I'm no medical professional but I would hook the dude up with some primo end of life anti-anxiety meds at that point if he really dead/dying

Probably delirium resulting from the killer ailment they have? People say all kind of weird poo poo when they die, many times it's completely incomprehensible.

Depending on your commute (not that I have one anymore, but in the paste) a Wawa stop is pretty goddamn essential...even if you don't drink coffee.

Wawa hoagies are my jam, they were excellent to grab on the way to work for breakfast when I was living in norfolk. Pop in, grab hoagie, coffee, then get down to base and sit in the hour long traffic jam to get in.

When it's one of the ones we're talking about? Multiple times a year. These are more like a sub/burger/fried poo poo takeout place inside of a gas station.

Yep a lot of people I worked with...at a bunch of jobs over the years did that.

Also let’s give credit to the other things they have like those empanadas now and the jalapeño poppers.

None of which I can currently enjoy on my new diet...but eh down 15 pounds in a week is an okay trade-off on the road to 200...from 305...but I still miss me some Wawa.

Used to get some seriously good fried chicken from a gas station in Central Tennessee. I mean like, way better chicken than any gas station has right to sell.

Any midwesterner should know about Casey's and their meh pizza. I've never heard anyone talk about it like it's their favorite pizza, but it's totally serviceable and better than Papa Johns.

Roy Rogers was actually a national chain for a long time, then got sold to Boston Chicken/Hardees and until I saw it on the turnpike years later, I honestly thought the brand had gone out of business.

Royal Farms just opened up in SE PA and is kind of hilarious for their awesome selection of fried chicken, booze, and hardcore porn in the magazine section. Apparently the people buying it tend to be early in the morning.

Okay that sounds pretty dope. Reminds me of old drive theater concession ads I've seen in compilations, which featured franks and beans in a fried pocket...which I'd love to try.
