i guess dragon ballz also did this by having goku be a saiyan but super did a bit of work to undo this by giving us wiener U6 saiyans and having roshi do an ultra instinct or something

Even in this arc Spirit Fission was kinda tragic. It seems like it should have been a hard counter to Moro fusing to the earth and it still barely worked enough to give Goku a minor A whilst he did the hard work with whatever that last fight was
