Every year around this time, people ask “What are you thankful for?” and that can be a hard question for some. So I figure I’ll ask the opposite because there’s probably more things you’re not thankful for than things you are thankful for, so it’s an easier question to answer. I am not thankful for mosquitoes. They do nothing for me. I have never had a positive moment with a mosquito.

In non-pandemic years this is when I look at the other parents letting their kids play on the school playground after school and debate if we need to leave the playground, like, 15 minutes after school gets out to make sure we all aren't walking home when it's pitch black.

It doesn't do much, besides cause an immediate headache, but even if there's some placebo effect I'm going to do it.
