You ever smelled a book that was in your grandpa's barn and then your parents basement for like fifteen years that poo poo be smelling way better than any new poo poo from Books-A-Million or wherever. The new book don't smell as good, but you get to put wrinkles in the spine as you read it, so that's good. Then you put it in a barn so someone can smell it later.

It is as though your mind is blank, and you have encompassed Zen in a way no other thing in the world can make you feel. So, that.

gary oldmans diary posted:a couple years ago i examined the attendance policy and found that i could call in enough to only work 180 days a year... the attendance policy has since been changed Dang, that beats the feds' policy on leave even after 15 years of service. No wonder they changed it at your place lol Still really like having a clear and pretty generous leave policy (4 hours of sick and annual leave every 2 weeks for the first three years of fed service, no questions asked as long as you actually have the leave and aren't just burning it all as soon as you get it (okay, they would ask about long periods of sick leave, but not stuff that's one-off), can bank up to 240 hours or 30 days' worth which gets easier when your leave accrual goes up to 6 and then much later 8 hours every pay period). Also really like the job security even though it's because so much of the government, other people doing the same work, taxpayers, and preparers are all idiots... Ignatius M.
