We have a couple of those moka pots (the small one and a larger for if we both want to split some). If you get the right grind and a decent bean (LaVazza Crema e Gusto seems p good for this), it makes some baller 'not quite espresso, espresso'. It's good stuff.

Drink 2 fast & you have about enough 'fuel' to go 8 hours. But for people like me and probably you, who drink a lot of caffeinated beverages, caffeine 'tolerance' occurs, i.e. you need more for the same effect (than for a non-abuser, heheh). And since I drink these beverages typically 10 times a day or more,, I can drink coffee or cola around bedtime & it doesn't keep me awake. Though near bedtime if I want a coffee I usually make one with decaffeinated ground to be safe. Another symptom of the abuse of this (comparitively mild) drug is withdrawal, I know I don't feel right until my first coffee du jour, and start to wane if I haven't had one for a few hours. Back when I was based in an office we'd have a coffee machine in the office itself and the kitchenwould be right down the corridor. Sometimes I would arrive to work on Monday morning and chug down the coffee left in my mug from Friday because I couldn't be bothered to walk all way to the kitchen to pour it out so I could pour a fresh cup. I only drink black coffee so its not weird

I purposely put water in my coffee to cool it down to lukewarm and dump it down my decaying maw. I also drink warm PBR. (These are the daily rituals. I can appreciate grinding beans for fresh coffee or enjoying a craft beer, but a normal day entails the above. Get @ me)

Normally I only take my coffee or espresso black. ... But a guilty pleasure is that maybe twice a month I get one of those bottled Starbucks chilled frappe things at a gas station and pretty much suck it down in one go.
