I had a Toxic Avenger coloring book as a kid and it blew my mind when I got a copy of the movie as a teenager, it's one of the most violent movies ever made. This is like making a PG-13 remake of Robocop.

If it doesn’t have a goodhearted Midwestern police officer, and it doesn’t take place anywhere near Fargo North Dakota, and if it’s just some pointless crime family period piece, and if no one gets thrown in a goddamn woodchipper, then why the gracious gently caress is it called Fargo????? We used to go to my nana's every Friday and we'd hit up the video store around the corner to get a rental for the kids and one for the adults. One time we rented a Toxic Avenger movie because us kids liked the show. Probably less than ten minutes after leaving my dad was back angrily exchanging it. A decade or so later a bunch of us watched all the Toxic Avengers at college and I realized we had rented the third movie all those years ago (my dad stopped the movie shortly after someone was brutally shot in fittingly a video store).
