Im going to spend the first 20 hours of this game constantly remaking my character to get the appearance perfect despite it being a first person game, thrn the next 20 hours restarting because i cant decide whether to go all in on katanas, or hacking, or pistols or shotguns or

As with all RPGs where I can create my own character, my first character will just be that world’s version of me. It’s easier for me to roleplay myself in those types of games until I learn the ins and outs. And since I play these games repeatedly for years, I’ll always branch out into stuff that is farther from myself as time goes in. My second play through I’m hoping to play as a Bowie/Ziggy Stardust/Ghirahim type character as ultimately I find that to be way more interesting.

I was going to get this on PS4 Pro, instead of my PC with a 1050gtx, but now that someone mentioned GeForce Now, I'm not sure. My internet speed tested at 145 mbps, which should be plenty for Now. What would you guys do? e: If it makes any difference, at some point in the near/medium future I was planning on upgrading my PC, so I would likely eventually buy it on PC anyway. But I'm more worried about playing it now. e; just tested out the free version with witcher 3, it seemed to work pretty good actually. I think the alchemy system worked really nicely on selling you on the fantasy of being a grimdark monster hunter. Since you couldn't chug potions mid combat and the combat was largely just a stat check, on the higher difficulties the only way to progress was to pre-emptively research the monsters, come up with the optimal combination of potions and oils, gather the resources, and then go in. As opposed to the later games where you felt less like a grimdark monster hunter, and more like Generic Fantasy Swordsmaster that could waltz into any fight and come out on top by chewing through 5000 loafs of bread mid combat.

Witcher 2's settings were bad. All of them were in the middle of the nowhere. You went to a a village in the middle of a swamp, a camp in the middle of a battlefield, and a repurposed abandoned city. Maybe the Squirrel city was more interesting though.. Although I don't think that there is a problem with the settings individually, just the lack of variety.

I recall the reaction to Witcher 1 being largely meh with a lot of hatred for the swamp. I played it for a few hours and got bored. I vaguely recall some kinda weird sex card collecting thing. Playing some Deus Ex reboot 2 now is giving me pretty straight forward expectations for Cyberpunk. I want something like this game, but with character creation, more open ended, and better combat. All the Deus Ex games right from the start have always suffered from stiff terrible feeling combat so even Bethesda Fallout level would be an improvement. If Cyberpunk can deliver that I'll be happy.
