Oh, yeah, I feel for them. On a related note, from STR's linked articles on Sheriff Chody of Williamson County, I'm sure the guy's name is supposed to be pronounced "koh-dee", but I much prefer to use "choad-ee" in my head.

Oh, I bought cosplay for my RX-7: Just because. edit: (I'm trying to resist getting Takumi's plate for the AE86... I may just get the vinyl decal/wall sign version for shits and giggles. Way cheaper than these, and can be had from Aliexpress, etc. I really shouldn't put any more money into that car.)

With 48 hours to go my friend who was shot and left for dead got the news that he is recovered enough to remove his neck brace for normal day-to-day living. Still has to wear it to sleep but we'll take any good we can get at this point.

Yeah, I got all my info from the Wikipedia article quoted in the first post of that forum.  The two plate numbers I quotes are for the FD and FC in Initial D.
