There's that one side mission on Nekrotefayo or however it's spelled where you are basically beta-testing an AR game where you have to do an escort mission and it's really bad, so at least some of the devs on BL3 seemed to have insight onto what bullshit it is. But then there's a shitload of the same idiocy elsewhere in the game. Unless that mission was a subtle dig at the overall game being badly written?

You gotta keep doing little sprints to keep on them, especially if they're someone who can get attacked and die along the way.

The absolute worst for me is that one mission on the jungle planet where you have to escort the crap robot to the monkey village and help it earn some self-worth; the AI puts that thing a few feet in front of you the whole time, getting between you and enemies you're trying to shoot. Absolutely infuriating. I thought they might have finally figured it out when they let Burton in the Lovecraft DLC take his secret shortcuts to meet you places instead of running along with you.

The worst trend is having to wait for somebody to hand you the quest item instead of being able to just head to the next destination while they chatter. This was literally a solved problem in the original game!

Yes i was that guy that picked up ALL 100 orbs instead of paying to skip it. The questgiver sounds so sad and disappointed that you REALLY didn't want to pay.

I remember the first time I heard Tyreen go "and then I'll be a god!!!" and Troy was like "you mean WE'LL be gods, right?" I was like, oh good, he's going to turn on her after she betrays him. Having her kill him would have been way better.

I dunno, there is something kind of interesting in Tyreen sticking to a 'family is important' moral code despite lacking the empathy or moral framework to understand why it's important. Like, she clearly finds her brother a burden and an irritation, but she gives him a good life alongside her anyway because they're family, and that's what you're supposed to do for family. She seems genuinely surprised and upset when he tries to eat her, and genuinely respectful when she absorbs his corpse. It's a fun little wrinkle in her characterisation, especially compared to Handsome Jack (who was only too capable of turning familial love into a justification for horrific abuse).

She could have done the exact opposite and it would have fit with the lack of an actual character just as well. Jack actually has backstory, character development, and an arc to his character. The twins do not.

I think there's just a lot of things that developers put in games out of sheer habit or because they were in one game that sold well so obviously they need to be in everything.

Anyone suddenly having connection problems on PC? I can't connect to any of my friends and they can't connect to me, but only if I'm using a specific character (which, unfortunately, is the only character I have at a decent level). Things were working fine as recently as last night.

Hooray, not only did it not work, now I have no characters available on the PS5 version, not even the one I had before. There should be a  emote for Gearbox at this point.e: Cool, after trashing my PS5 local save, it worked again! You have to do it one character at a time though. I'm trying to find some info on if Borderlands 3 is cross-platform between PC and consoles. Most of what I can find only seems to mention between Steam and Epic, and between PS5 and Xbox or something. Does anyone know if I can play with a friend on their console while I'm on my PC?

I've got one dlc left to play but the ps5 version doesn't share trophies with the ps4 version so I can't make myself play the ps5 version. I really hate whoever made that decision. My brain can't handle the trophies being in two separate buckets.

I guess this is the internet though so I shouldn't be super surprised that everyone wants things free. I do often find myself curious what a Season Pass that passed the muster of the "this isn't worth it" crowd would look like.

I mean the season 2 pass is offensively bad for how little it offers and the price. And I thought the season 1 pass was a great deal. The design decisions like adding a new mode where all the characters have no skills is real dumb.
