I think the most groverhaus aspect is this former door(?) that they didnt bother removing the trim for before just slapping siding over the hole.

In fairness that's normally how you patch over a door or window, though there is better reason to do it on brick houses. A lot of old houses have lintels in the middle of walls where a window used to be. It doesn't look bad honestly especially when you can't match the existing exterior finish, better to leave the surround in and fill the middle than have a bit that just doesn't line up or is a different colour

Jesus christ that looks terrible. The mismatched doors on the cupboards, the weird "old style" oven with modern electrics, the gigantic fridge that protrudes into the room. Not even gonna get started on the concrete goat or the copper elephant on a globe decor...

I'll allow the Grover Window but I think a diamond or a circle might have worked better. I almost have to give them credit for fitting that thing in though.

I have to be honest, I would love a fridge that big. Just opening that bad boy up when you’re stoned as hell at 3am and it’s jam packed with good poo poo all laid out in an easy to access way

Are we sure the fridge isn't some kind of weird realtor photography? I know they use wide angle lenses and like weird lighting and poo poo.

I think the fridge size might partially be a trick, both of photography and by the stove being way smaller than standard electric/gas ones, making it look bigger If you look at the space between the cabinet and door frame behind the fridge it suggests either there's some wacky perspective going on OR the fridge is severely overlapping the door

The "pasted-over" door visible from the front of the house opens into the back of the fridge for easy access.

Hirayuki posted:The "pasted-over" door visible from the front of the house opens into the back of the fridge for easy access. Ah, my grandparents were telling me about this when they were still alive. Back in the day, the house would have an opening cut into it for ice to be delivered, and that hole went right into the freezer. Thinking on it now, their house did have such a deleted doorway that appeared random outside, but inside it was right where the refrigerator was in the kitchen.

Since i have literally nothing better to do I tried to visualize why I think that fridge isnt as gigantic as the picture makes it seem. OFC this assumes the fridge isnt overlapping the trim around the door, which it could be, but STILL

You guys know there's other pictures, right? It looks like a big fridge, but nothing as obscenely gigantic as the perspective suggests. Realty pictures are always real wide angle and can make stuff look wonky, especially near the edges.

It's a nice big kitchen, though. Gotta give it that. I suppose you'd want a big kitchen to feed the guests you'd have in the cell wing.
