I thought they were bringing him in for the Flash movie, which is almost certainly gonna be another time travel/multiverse thing that allows them to bring in all the old Batmen.

He’s confirmed for the Flash movie. This is apparently the next Batman movie after Pattinson. Pattinson’s Batman and whatever this new thing with Keaton is will be running concurrently. DC has somehow managed to make their franchises even messier.
