it has a great soundtrack too. I particularly enjoyed the "John hamm shoots guns in time with the music" bit near the end.

I enjoyed the endless and its Cast of weirdos , but I'm a sucker for cosmic horror and time loops.
The ending is ambiguous, I liked it.

I had the briefcase dvd edition of Blade Runner, and made money on it when I sold it off to a used book/video place. and they generally only will give you 50% of what they try to sell for

got in the mood to watch Tenet last night, rather than wait to see it in the theaters.

overall enjoyable, but jfc between this and Bane, Nolan is becoming the king of action mumblecore.

I finished the TV run of Tinker, Tailor and started up on Smiley's People, and there's a scene early on when two characters are whispering and the loving soundtrack is just layered over it. had to turn on the subtitles to see what they were saying, and it's you know an important bit of the setup.

mad about sound levels lol

I didn't have a big problem with the sound myself

people will spend tons of money trying to fix this not knowing that turning up the center channel will usually make the music and everything else louder too. movies are mixed for reference level which is stupid

the idea of an actual controllable dialog level exists in AC4 but it's probably going to be years before you can do anything about it and I'm sure directors will find a way to gently caress it up

there just a couple of scenes where peeps are wearing masks that their dialog was hard to make out. like if I usually watch stuff with my TV set to 20, I popped it up to 24 and it was fine. I'm just a bit wary of annoying my upstairs neighbours with big shooty films, but I probably shouldn't actually be too worried lol

I didn’t have any trouble understanding Bane but I had to turn the subtitles on for like 3 or 4 lines of dialogue in Tenet to understand them

in tenet there's also at least one scene where the character is talking backwards because he's inverted which isn't obvious the first time you see it and it completely fucks the brain's ability to link up the movement with the sound and makes it harder to interpret.

i had no problem with Bane at all, it was just funny

I know it's actually bad an people have said he's a massive cock, but I do kind of respect Nolan for this. Same with insisting in cinema release and using actual film: "kiss my rear end I'm doing it my way".

the Nolan film that really confused me was Dunkirk when I saw it the first time because I missed the bit of text telling you it was all simultaneous at the beginning so i was *super * confused about what the gently caress was going on

seen the Oldman version at least twice and loved it. this is my first time through the TV version, which makes it funny to remember some of the movies plot points and then sit there waiting for them lol. Smileys people seems to have more going on.
