I see people were referencing points for games outside the top 60. Was there a spreadsheet link that I missed?

I can't make sense of that username scatter thing. I'm nearest to Doom Eternal, Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium, and Death Stranding, but only one of those is on my list. I'm closest to Stux but we only have two games in common on our list, Death Stranding and Blasphemous (two really good games). In closing, Dicey Dungeons is really really great and more of you should play it. I think it was recently released on consoles so hopefully more folks will get a chance to check it out.

Basically, it's a two dimensional representation of a higher dimensional plot (the number of dimensions is equal to the number of games). The view on the high dimensional plot is rotated and stretched until the two dimensional cross section contains the maximum amount of information it can. Based on the graph, I'm guessing that those two axes contain maybe half the total variance, give or take. So there's plenty of information missing.

once you understand that the data is just a two-dimensional projection of a 14-dimensional object, it becomes quite clear, you see.

Yeah there might be worth in considering the question, “how many games goons own ps4s”, seems like it’s a big deal

Look, PCAs aren't simple graphs and I did my best tbh I kinda hate them and think they're some of the least useful common plots but everybody else in the world seems to like them so they keep making them

I just finished Ace Combat: The Blessed Trinity (?) for the first time and 2021 already has a couple of contenders for "Game of the Year" such as : - Ace Combat 04 final mission with Agnus Dei playing gloriously in the background. - All the pretty planes in Ace Combat Zero... - Ace Combat 05 has the option of playing with japanese subtitles. Since Namco are cowards who won't ever remake these game due to licensing issues, please buy these games on eBay and play them however you can.

Turns out it is something that frazzles my brain and I have so much respect for those who do it as a job! OK, as I said yesterday, this thread will be closed at some point today by Noise and he requested to move it I wonder what December will bring us, but with knowledge that Disco Elysium is getting a huge patch and a release on consoles this year I wonder if it will crack the top list again! See you for this again in 11 months!
