Rolen should be getting a ton of votes too but it looks like he won't be remembered as dominant enough of a hitter. He is top 10 all times 3b by JAWS. He should absolutely be getting in.

Beltre should be an absolute no brainer unanimous first ballot but we have people voting for ONLY JEFF KENT so yea. It's so dumb.

TIL Beltre is a 93 WAR player I knew he was a HOFer but not that much of a no brainer

Beltre didn't have a crazy peak like George Brett but his HOF resume is pretty close.

The HoF voters need to be entirely flushed out and a completely new group needs to be brought it. They've become a joke - a parody of themselves.

Beltre also has 3100+ hits and one of like 8 players with 600+ doubles and 450+ dongs.

Beltre is going to be first-ballot. 93 WAR and >3000 hits gets him all the old guys as well as younger voters.

Roid rage any time someone touched his head I still love that the first thing Prince Fielder did at his retirement press conference was touch Beltre's head. Then I get sad because I remember that huge man blubbering like a baby because he couldn't do the thing he loves anymore

Beltre's career is even more insane when you consider that his age 26-30 years were in the baseball wasteland of Safeco.

Yeah, for that list specifically, because there was so little hard information about it I'm willing to give the players who were listed the benefit of the doubt. Its much more likely then that were popped for taking a tainted supplement or something because the level of scrutiny on that stuff just wasn't there yet.

no one gives a poo poo about the 2003 list and the voters will demonstrate that next year with Ortiz

Ya the list is who gives a gently caress territory, but saying he was never implicated isn't true either. Its the same list that everyone talks about when mentioning Ortiz was an obvious juicer.

The only people on that list who have been denied on PED grounds are people who have at least one other PED-related mark against them. Guys like Sheffield & Bonds who were implicated in BALCO, or Manny & Palmeiro who failed actual tests and were suspended for it. No one even talks about Pedro or Pettitte being on that list.
