Folks have been keeping tract of the Apex VTuber tournament practice scrims. You can see how much variance there is since Roberu's team, Kansai Noises, has ended up from 17th overall to 3rd overall on different days. Both Kuzaha's team, Immortal and bloodsucking heroes, and Matsuri/Towa's team, Thomas Go★Go, usually finishes in the top half, but not in the top 3. Hope everything's okay with Korone, she had to cancel a stream to have an "emergency meeting" with management. Possible this was about doxxing stuff. She at least tweeted that the problem was solved after the meeting. There is a youtube channel that keeps getting put in my recommendations that has a bunch of vtuber real-life identity clips. Thankfully it says that the channel is closing in 7 days due to 3 copyright strikes.

There is nothing in her tweets that suggest anything doxxing related (she herself says it's nothing to worry about), so don't go jumping to conclusions. Emergency meetings can be called for a ton of reasons. And those channels aren't anything new and I doubt any of them would be the straw that breaks the camel's back - especially considering that, sadly, pretty much every major JP VTuber already has their real identity known in places like 5ch and they don't really do much with that beyond the standard shitposting. A real problem would be someone's address being discovered by a someone crazy (which is what happened with Mel, in the first half of 2020) but, again, nothing about this says that's the case. According to inside information, all the managers called Korone into a meeting to tell her to go to bed and stop streaming games so much, but it was resolved after 2 hours of Korone saying "no, i play game, no sleep" when all the managers relented and allowed her to stay up and play games as long as she wants.

It feels like 3 players at roughly the same skill level all kinda doing their own thing, but with comms. Against pubbies, they can respond quick enough to help each other out of bad situations, but against a whole lobby of pre-mades all with voice chat, they can't. Out of all the teams I saw, this one needs the most work on teamwork, which is a bit ironic, because they also have the most esports-like chatter and some of the most hours practicing together on stream. Maybe they picked up a few bad habits pub stomping that don't work in tournament. On the other extreme, Fubuki and Roboco are laser focused on assisting Noa. Fubuki provides sniper support, Roboco sticks to Noa like a shadow to provide mobility and an extra body so Noa doesn't just get rushed down 3v1. Noa carries. Same gameplan every game, everyone knows their role. They never seem to stream their practice together, if they even practice together at all. It's interesting seeing how different every team operates. I don't know who I'll follow on the actual tournament day.

One thing I noticed is that I'm very indecisive, as my #6 is a three-way tie between Okayu, Botan, and Fubuki, followed by an... eight-way tie (Kanata, Polka, Ina, Korone, Towa, Suisei, Mel, Ayame). I only really know for sure who I don't care much for, but I won't go there (especially since she has a biiig fanbase).
