None of us are going to be able to explain it. Maybe because it's supposed to be a "fancy" mustard or whatever. But when Obama put Dijon mustard on something, oh boy did the right wing media have a problem with it. Same with the time he had arugula, because having a different type of lettuce is elitist, smug, and disconnected from the average american.

White trash gets pissy about anything they aren't already familiar with because they are paranoid and terrified of change. And probably on meth. And definitely drunk.

The Obama years were so boring and scandal free that Fox news had to grasp at the thinnest of straws of controversy. Among them was:
That time he wore a tan suit.
That time he wore a helmet while riding a bicycle.
Using a selfie stick

And the worst, and most unforgivable crime was when Obama ordered a burger with Dijon mustard (It wasn't even grey pupon, he just asked for Dijon).

Japan owns to live in and it's got 130mm someodd people and there's just about every kind of niche and scene you could like.

thats just some stupid facebook repost of the actual proposal, which also included various symbols and the sites being surrounded by "threatening" architecture (which looked pretty badass tbh, i.e. giant concrete "thorns" in the ground, etc.), because future humans might not understand present day english.
turns out its pretty hard to make signs convey that you need to stay the gently caress away from a place and be sure that people won't take them as encouragement.

I used to tell my students when I was living in Japan that American food is mainly designed as a sauce delivery system. Everything needs thick, rich sweet and salty sauces and if we could get away with it, we’d just eat mayonnaise and ketchup and teriyaki out of the bottles.

By the way, no. Japan is better than most countries and is not filled with racists.

I literally do this all the time. No joke.

I eat straight barbecue sauce and salad dressing out of the bottle.

I eat straight ketchup out of the little restaurant packets.
