Yeah Kizuna Ai's 3D model and rigging has basically been top of the line since she first showed up all those years ago. Her channels been a pioneer not of just the V-tuber concept but the technologies behind it all as well.

While I don't agree with it, if someone's streaming any of the audio or video of an IP as they comment on it I can at least see the argument for why a company may not allow it. It seems like VTubers are beginning to grow towards that major twitch streamer level of popularity where they can help launch trends that result in huge sales (like the Among Us and Rust popularity booms, though we're talking sales increases in the tens of thousands right now and not you know, literally millions), and they have a major overseas audience that could help encourage people to check out games or anime that are well known in Japan but not as popular elsewhere.

Between that and the future Switch, her channel should be getting a lot of extra attention soon.

I do remember a while back the show was getting harder and harder for her to do with management vetoing a lot of topics she wanted to cover and despite continuing on it's been more sporadic since then so in retrospect, maybe this isn't the MOST surprising news, but that's still a shame.
