I’ve just rang hmrc to tell them I can’t pay my tax bill and they are running reduced staff on reduced hours but have more calls than ever and as a result just hang up. Lmfao. This country is a farce

Given the huge number of companies (or self-employed) that will be making huge losses in the next couple of years, they should allow some sort of 'payment plan' or 'offsetting against expected future losses' or some such maybe to balance over 3 - 5 years.

They're hosed as a department, everyone knows it, but the govt has been told by all the management consultants, accountants and auditors they hire that the revenue office should be streamlined. It's almost like those same groups might have a motive in keeping them barely functional.

My tax bill is less than I thought because they have already taken most of it through my tax code. Also, the gamestop stuff has put a hedge fund in 2.7 billion dollars of debt. Finance is silly. It's just a shame they can turbofuck the rest of us.

why do people start bidding wars on ebay and drive the price up when there's 4 days still to go

I put up a few old PC bits and had a processor up for £70 buy it now because I wanted rid of it quick and assumed it being a lot lower than the usual price would instantly be bought up. No. Someone decided to bid on it and in the end it went for like £107 because ebay is just full of morons.

Computer bits, particularly GPUs and CPUs, are hot right now due to low supply and very high demand. If you have spare bits, ebay them for ££££. A Ryzen 3600 last year brand new was £160. They're going, used, for just shy of £200 now on ebay. GPUs even more so.
