NBA icon Michael Jordan has found himself in the middle of the GameStop trading inferno that has turned Wall Street on its head this week.

Jordan picked a very bad time to welcome new investors into his majority ownership of NBA franchise the Charlotte Hornets with business partners Gabe Plotkin and Daniel Sundheim — two hedge fund titans — reported to have taken “catastrophic” losses on their short-selling war with Reddit forum investors.

if you're like me and thirsty for non bill Simmons related podcasts you could do worse than the Locked On series. The quality varies a little bit by market & host, but it's a 30 minute daily podcast for every team, there's also one for the league at large. i don't know why I'm shilling for this pod other than the dude is nice and was vociferously supportive of BLM. it started out with just a Utah Jazz podcast and has grown to cover pretty much every major market sports team in the last couple years

Hitting 3 point shots is all the rage right now, sure, but what about.... not hitting 3 point shots? What about not hitting any shots at all? Advanced metrics haven’t caught up yet, but I believe Oubre is *checks papers* lightyears ahead.

I haven’t been this disappointed in a free agent since Corey Maggette decided to stop in town. It sucks.

Nothing was dropping for them man it was rough. Although the Clippers nearly choked again. I wonder who the best team would be if everyone had to sit their best two players.

So am I crazy or do the Rockets actually have a shot at being decent this year? I'd feel better if anyone on the team could shoot a 3, but Christian Wood turned into Joel Embiid upon arriving in Houston, and Dipo/Wall look like they might be back.

That's why I wanted him on the Warriors at first. He gets FTs! All I remember now are stupid fade-away shots and empty scoring nights.

They all have that chip on their shoulder, and they all are good players.

It's the team of "Oh, that injury? You think that stops me?"

Dipo looks 100% back to his old self, and that's dangerous for anyone who has to play him.

They're not going to make any noise but they're a lot of fun to watch even if some of the young guys make ridiculous wtf are you doing plays every now and then

Last week on "Better Know a Player" we learned about Isaiah Roby of the OKC Thunder.

This week, we are introduced to Chandler Hutchison

Chandler is a 3rd year player drafted 22nd overall in the 2018 NBA draft out of Boise State (Mountain West PotY), by the Chicago Bulls. He's a 6-6, 210lb Small Forward. This year in 5 games (was away from the team with COVID) he's averaged 2.6 points per game, 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists. Hutchison is shooting .278 from the field and 33.3% from deep.

Karl-Anthony Towns reveals he was hit by drunk driver during offseason

“My woman has held me down more than the world knows,” Towns wrote, via TMZ. “From my mother and family members dying (1 on her bday in Cabo), getting hit by a drunk driver (was 2pm in the afternoon FYI) in LA this off-season and staying with me in the hospital for the night and helping me in rehab, to this stint with COVID she has been there with me every step of the way and stayed ten toes down.”

Towns did not share any details other than that. It’s unclear if he was walking or driving in his own car when he was hit, but it sounds like his injuries were at least somewhat serious.
