Luckily, I saved my suggested Crab tree as an image but I think I'll finally update the link. And maybe the skills a bit.

I recently started using a sound pack that I cobbled together from parts of old sound packs + a newer weapons soundpack. If you like MW2 give it a try! You don't actually need to overwrite any files so if you don't like it, just delete the files. Copy stuff to the Game folder of your install. A goon I play with has a MW3 version, I can try to get that from him if there is interest. I love my stupid stealth atlas. Can't carry much firepower but it's hilarious how bad people are at focusing on a torso if they can't get a sensor lock.

Double gauss MCII is not really a brawler, but I made it work on that game. Crimson Strait assault, got 5 kills (my first with 5), 5 assists, 4 kmdd, and 3 solos, top damage... made it out with like 38% health remaining on a capture victory 11-9 on team kills. Whats with all the FLE-20 chassis around? New trial? Were 5 of them in that match. Trying to pop tart and snap shots with PPCs seems more important than with ballistics too, and some have a min range you need to be aware of when the nascar starts up. I bought a blackjack and put dual hppc on it to mess around with though, and it's been fun so far although I've had plenty of hilariously bad missed try hard shots.

Eh the muscle memory on PPCs trips me up sometimes too, because targeting computers, quirks, and PPC variants all affect the velocity of your shots so sometimes it can take a few shots to dial in if you switch mechs a lot.

This is why I never use TCs on my PPCs. All three clan mechs I have that use PPCs all have the same velocity quirks too, which is a big plus.

Got 2 new mechs with all the spacebucks I've been building up. Pir-A: 4 ams and a pile of machine guns. It's a dumb gimmick. I ran it behind a LRM supernova, it shot down all the missiles as I popped him in the back. Also ran it with a pack of lights and provided ams cover for them, which was kinda nice I guess. Night Gyr-D: This one I kind of like, I wanted to try the -100% external heat transfer quirk. I've done two builds, an ECM ATM boat and an ECM double Gauss+lasers sniper. Comes with jump jets so both builds are pretty nice. The big downside is slow speed. Another annoyance is no extra cooling on low-temperature maps - though offset by better performance on hot maps.

I also have a NTG-D. I think i've complained about it earlier in the thread, but I've settled on a build that is likely pretty similar to your dual gauss + lasers. I've never for a minute thought I was in the best mech for the job when flying the drat thing though.
