I'm looking for a song that was performed in the early 2010s attempting to enter Eurovision (they didn't make it). The band's gimmick was wearing fur faces, like werewolf makeup, and kind of screaming or squealing. I think one of the performers was upside down? I want to say the band had a Finnish sounding name but I'm not sure. This should be so easy to Google but somehow I'm getting zero results - did I have a weird fever dream back then? Edit: Nevermind! Complaining on the internet did the trick. It was Winny Puhh "Meiecundimees". UnbearablyBlight fucked around with this message at 06:31 on Jan 8, 2021 |

Might be a long shot but searching for this 90s house track for a long time now, searched every house track on Discogs with the name "Alright" or "It's Alright" and couldn't find it --- https://soundcloud.com/trushmix/trusmix-106-doc-jay#t=1:05:08

There's a track I had on VHS around 1999 / 2000 that I'm fairly sure was called "A Fragment of the Body", I think it was by someone called Target, kind of dark core, breakbeaty type of thing, the video was a cgi think flying around inside a head and the ears. I've not ben able to find it anywhere and I'm starting to wonder if I dreamt it, has anyone heard of it?

There's a music video on YouTube where they strum their guitars really hard but slowly, and red lines comes out of the guitar and goes across the screen, it's the theme of the whole video, and it's ominous, I'm pretty sure it's a famous riff. and it's slow but they strum it hard, reminds me of black sabbath or something. I was on a tame impala/ arctic monkeys/cage the elephant Playlist on YouTube and I want to watch this music video again but I'm too drunk to figure it out. Help.

Back when the UK had the Paramount Comedy Channel they used to marathon Sex & The City, and they ran a commercial that had a song on it. Sounded kinda 80s ish, high pitched female singer, staccato way of singing, slight accent that suggested she wasn't a native English speaker. The only bit I remember went: "She's a single girl In her single world Living every day In her single way" Which I realise isn't much to go on, but you fellows seem frighteningly good at finding stuff. Google's been worse than useless, repeatedly telling me it's "Single Girl" by Sandy Posey [it's not] or "Single Ladies" by Beyonce [which I'm fairly sure it predates] so uh.

Nemesis Of Moles posted:Synthy moody gothish song with reverb vocals. Intro to the chorus has the lead vocalist singing "Sing Lucilda" I think? At least one of the verses ends with a line that sounds like "from your beating heart". I just woke up with this playing on repeat and I know its burried somewhere in my Spotify library but I can't find it and searching any of the above brings me no joy. I'm pretty sure the song title is whatever the name the lead vocalist sings during the bridge. This was Duran Duran's "The Chauffeur" and the line is "Sing Blue Silver"! Just came on my spotify shuffle.

This is more of a "help me identify a performer" request. There was some video floating around twitter in the last year or two, maybe in a response to "women can't play guitar" or some dumb comment like that, of a woman just jamming out on guitar for a while. Seemed super technically proficient. Turns out she was a lead guitarist for a band. I vaguely recall the band being atmospheric and mostly instrumental? Maybe M83ish? She was a USian, but maybe of asian heritage. Any idea who I'm thinking about?

Heard a rap song on a spotify playlist, but didn't have a chance to check and see what it was. Can't remember exact lyrics, but the chorus was different variations on pigs, like potbellied pigs and so on, with 'pigs' being more emphasized.

Aesop Rock - Pigs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc9qJS-GG-c Also there are a couple of ways (that aren't made very obvious) to see songs you just heard on Spotify depending on what you're using. The desktop app has a History feature, and in the mobile app you get a list of recently played songs when you go to Add Songs on any playlist.

Fashionable Jorts posted:Not a song, but seeking a music video. It features a young Asian lady getting offloaded off of a school bus and then dance-fighting against various opponents in front of some evil dictator, with the loser being executed. Saw it once some time ago, and I have no idea what the artist or song is. I cannot remember the music, but I'm pretty sure it was electronic, and probably had no vocals. I'm willing to donate $10 to the charity of the persons choice if they find this for me, all of my attempts to find this have been fruitless. I watched something on youtube that talked about a concept album recently that I was interested in listening to but literally all I can remember is it involved two boys, one of which was a bully who had some kind of interesting arc afterwards. This ring any bells? I think it was probably a rock opera type thing, and probably from an indie or smaller band.

I just heard this song on the radio and couldn't get to my phone fast enough. It's a medium tempo rock song - possibly early 90s grunge. I only caught the chorus and couldn't understand what the singer was saying. Each line ended with a slight pause and then a name(?): something, something, something, something, SAMMY something, something, something, something, BUDDY Any ideas?

I heard a song on the radio all I remember was it had a line that said "we we're listening to Iron and Wine". It was on our Top 40 radio station so it's something that's popular at the moment. Had a somber reflective mood, not heavy on the instruments, mostly acoustic. Reflective. Bon Iver, For Emma mood.

This one's pretty vague, admittedly, but it's been driving me nuts. So, basically, I heard the song Choke by I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME and it REALLY reminds me of another song. I thought it was Wine, Women, and Song by Harvey Danger, but it's not clicking for me. I asked a FB group I'm in and someone agreed that it sounded familiar, but they couldn't place it. I saw a Reddit post suggesting it was something by Ludo or James, but neither really sounded familiar. Song in question - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvJjmWTg7Qo

Okay so.. I am trying to find a song based on a youtube music video I had seen. I think it was from the EDM/House thread. ive dug around trying to find it.. The group was European, maybe Swedish.. Nordic.. newer music video The standout scene I remember was on a bridge, the singer is walking on a bridge (large covered highway bridge) singing. its dark and brooding and flamboyant. might have been an SUV driving.. its dark and brooding. "edgy" gently caress I cant think of any specific lines. its so vague. CrandleBerries fucked around with this message at 01:55 on Feb 4, 2021 |
