just 2 clarify i meant blender was not ideal for 2D animation but yea worthikids has done cool stuff with it. there are plugins and such it's just that blender has always been a hodgepodged production so you're generally on your own aside from youtube tutorials

Thinking about how Tales of Maj'Eyal has roaming bands of folk so dedicated to lynching and genociding any and all magical folk that they learned not-magic of nature and mind powers in order to combat and eventually erase magic. Then they got all confused because they found out about the people who liked the sun so much that they started using it to channel magical sun-based powers and they couldn't decide if that meant it was sun magic or sun-based nature powers

They also have a dedicated time magic class and an oozemancer class. And if you play as a chronomancer and get the encounter where you run into yourself from the future and you let your future self kill you, you unlock the paradox mage which is a person with time powers who weaponizes time paradoxes to destroy their foes and ruin reality. It's kinda funny the Tales of Maj'Eyal started off as a lord of the rings fangame

Paradox Mages can get an ability that lets them split into three timelines, do different things in each one, and pick the best result when the spell runs out. It's basically magical save scumming and it's hilarious.
