Hey emfive, this is Alec. I am glad you like the mummy eating the bowl of shitty pasta with a can of 'parm.' I made that image for you way back when. I’m glad you enjoy it.

tell people about your MFA while you make their drink

I think I've related this story before, but I'm old: me and former-lurker were in the Boston ICA, at that cool gallery overlooking the harbor, and we were like "wtf" because it was a day that they took the Constitution out for a run around the harbor, and we were just open-mouthed staring. A school group marched in a couple seconds later and the teacher was telling them some pointless bullshit, and me (or maybe it was former-lurker) said to another adult with the group "The USS Constitution is sailing in the harbor like right there", and they told the kids to look and then like 2 seconds later resumed the stupid bullshit.

If I had had an MFA I could have "well actually" the gently caress out of those kids

Someone (that I hired no less) told me they wouldn't hand out distro or something like that because THEY HAD AN MFA.

I laughed really hard and never brought them on another job again.

There's an old timey picture of my old apartment in the hotel bar I used to frequent. The building was built in 1880. Anyway, it was the best (and cheapest) apartment I ever lived in and it was cool that it was a historical landmark. Like, it was probably some cool old pharmacy or mining offices or some poo poo, now it's next to a Little Caesar's and I smoked hella weed and did adderall and cried in the bathtub with all my clothes on.
