A handful of goons over the past year have had their animated avatars changed to a static image. I first noticed it with the goon who had an avatar of some creature running off with a jewel.

I've noticed that there are some static-seeming avs that have like one frame of animation for an extremely short cycle in them too, so there's an extremely small chance that anyone will ever notice them, and even there you'll not be sure that you saw anything.

If their objective was to have there be one very rare frame that made people doubt themselves I think making the animated gifs look static was kinda them loving up? It just bought attention to them and then people exploded the gifs. The hidden white bear symbol only makes sense if people weren't supposed to instantly just examine the frames. Calling it now, this was funny on accident.
