I write a lot of scenarios for a tabletop RPG called Delta Green. You can read them here

Here are a couple sketches I did for a campaign.

I also did a few of these one page dungeons a while back.

This one's :nws: but it's one of the better ones.

You can find more of my RPG stuff here

The prognosis
is not good.

I write scenarios for Delta Green, you can find them here but I'll highlight one of them below.

Operation Stop Repo. Published in The Unspeakable Oath #25 this scenario has agents cleaning up a mess left behind when a previous Case Officer stored items of interest in abandoned cars.

I've also done the maps for the last several Delta Green books and scenarios, PX Poker Night, Ex Oblivione, Victim of the Art, Sick Again, and others.

PX Poker Night went from this map from the OG scenario done by I assume Dennis Detwiller

to this one by me

note: Since Platte AFB isn't real, I ended up cutting up a bunch of Offutt AFB in Nebraska to use as a stand in.

Mustang, AZ for Ex Oblivione also had to get invented from a smaller nothing town in AZ.

Going to post this too! As I said earlier, I make board games! This is my second prototype design (not signed yet, but it's really far along in the testing phase and I'm pitching to publishers).

This is White Hat, a hacking simulator as a board game. You assign workers to tasks, and they get better at those tasks each round, but if you interrupt them and tell them to do something different they have to start over again when they go back to the original task. You also build your computer on your player mat as you play the game which is pretty cool.

I don't have as much to show as other people do yet. My biggest project is a fan supplement for the Lancer RPG called the Field Guide to Suldan which you can download for free here.

Suldan is a campaign setting and content expansion, taking place on a world wracked by conflict where competitive gladiatorial combat and mech racing are the national pastimes. It contains setting info, new player gear, dueling rules, plot hooks, new NPCs, and a bunch of other stuff. It also has an lcp file for integration with Comp/Con, Lancer's digital toolset.

I'm also in the process of working on Lancer: Battlegroup, an official module/spinoff game for Lancer focused on large-scale space fleet combat where players take on the role of battlegroup commanders, leading groups of capital ships, subline vessels, and strike craft against enemy fleets. It's not quite ready for primetime just yet but you can take a look at the in-progress drafts over on the Lancer discord server.

This was something I did about a year ago. I'd seen some different 2D images turned into 3D shadowboxes, and wanted to try my hand at it. So I thought it would be cool to make a self-contained 3D NES game box, in this case Ducktales, my favorite game as a kid.

Separated everything into discreet layers, printed it all out, and mounted everything on styrene sheet in a shadow-box. Came out pretty decent for something that cost lest than $20 in materials.

Love it. Not only is this a great cover to do this with, but this is exactly the thing I was trying to do with comic covers. Looks great.

Thanks! I've been thinking of doing another lately, maybe the box for Monkey Island 2.

This time I'll see if I can get the art custom printed, and the backing for the pieces laser-cut so I don't have to spend forever and a day cutting out endless intricate stencils.

Oh hello again thread. I like to play guitar. I learned how to make full songs with drums and bass a while ago and still like to. Most are just demos and I'm still learning how to do all the music production side of things even years later. But really haven't had the drive to record anything for a while. Maybe i'll get up to it soon. Well either way, here's two songs I had a lot of fun making.

The first one is an elaborate black/thrash song and my first attempts at writing and recording solos since i usually dont believe they add much to songs.
https://soundcloud.com/lfranco321/bminor-2017-drum3

And the second came from the idea of putting in samples instead of vocals. So I thought it would be funny to cut rick and morty samples on top of something and I'm proud of what came out.

I've arranged quite a few of the songs from the Zelda: A Link to the Past soundtrack as jazz charts being performed by a trio of piano, bass, and drums. I'm particularly proud of the last one I did, which is a brief arrangement of Zelda's Lullabye.

Hi circus! I released a full length new wave/post punk album last December under the name Faustbot: Synthetic Noise

If you're looking for a single song to listen to, All You Have To Do Is Not Be an rear end in a top hat and Origin 2 - The Ritual came out the best.

I already have 15 songs in various states if completion recorded for the next album, which is going a bit more guitar heavy. The synth focus in the first album was due to me ripping a callus off of a finger on my left hand, making playing guitar painful.

I also record a bunch of miscellaneous stuff on my soundcloud page here: https://m.soundcloud.com/michaelnixmusic

Standouts there are:

For Jen, a pop punk song I wrote for my wife,

Swell, my take on early 80's lofi goth rock.

I've been learning how to make beats during lockdown. Every once in a while I'll make something I actually like, but I started a SoundCloud with the goal of cranking out finished songs, good or not, because I know I've got to make a lot of bad music before I start making good music. I guess it's a way to pummel my ego into submission.

I finished and released my first album between 2019 and 2020. It fits somewhere in the instrumental post-rock umbrella with elements of drone and noise rock with some spoken word sampling, think more like 90s GYBE, Set Fire to Flames, and Swans than Mogwai and EITS. I hate talking about what I sound like so uh, if you're into dark, cryptic, occasionally abrasive atmospheric/soundscape kind of music then check it out, I'm pretty proud of it.

Encoded in Dead Air - The music came about because my front porch faces TV Hill in Baltimore which is littered with all kinds of cool looking broadcast towers. There's so much EMI that I pretty much have to accept that everything I record here will be noisy and with that limitation I just leaned into it for this project. There's a running theme here (in my mind anyway) of radio and TV signals acting like alternate realities to the physical world we occupy and the various ways that we communicate with the past, future, dead, and living over the air.
