Only in the far north of England, unfortunately. Not having been able to smash a parmo while shitfaced is one of my greatest shames. That looks like Easy Cheese has been squirted on the top of it... And I'd like to come clean and admit that I loving love that fake neon yellow fake cheese garbage. Every now and then I'll buy a can of the sharp cheddar and a box of the basil & balsamic vinegar triscuits and go to town.
The easy cheese is the first thing that caught my eye, but it almost feels like an intentional scapegoat. What's even happening with the rest of the burger? There's what looks like an overly-stiff fried egg atop a miserably thick and dry patty. The patty rests on a too-big leaf of lettuce, plus some white onion that was ever-so-briefly fried, and some mayo. The whole thing looks dry and tasteless; the easy cheese is the high point (literally and figuratively).

Also is it actually any faster than chopping the onion properly and safely? I can turn a big onion into small chunks pretty quickly and it's not my job.

It's an easy way to cut onions when you have no counter space because the kitchen you're in was made for anorexic ants. I can cut about twice as fast that way if my board is already full and Josh the Kitchen gently caress-Up still hasn't brought me the cambros.

But he has space so he's being silly. He's also not wearing a glove so there's blood in those onions somewhere.

The worst injury I've ever personally witnessed was a dude just cutting and pitting avocadoes one after another in his hand. One time, instead of cutting around the pit and popping the halves apart, the knife slipped past the pit and a quarter inch into their palm.

Second worst injury was the guy who checked the dough in the Hobart mixer while the hook was still spinning.

The easier way is to take off the root and the top layers and then send the onion through one of these guys

Let me rephrase: applesauce on buttered noodles tastes like my childhood and therefore, I think it tastes good.

To me it tastes almost, but entirely unlike, apple pie. There were a couple of years when we were painfully poor and Mother would make buttered egg noodles with cinnamon and apple sauce. She'd pretend that it was an amazing food made for kings. And it kinda worked because starch and apples and cinnamon and sugar and butter absolutely do not suck. It hit a lot of the right notes if you closed your eyes.

But yeah I admit that's the sadness hungry talking.

That needs a sprig of parsley added for garnish, and then it needs to be fed to a dog.
