The idea that all PMs will be read should be the absolute bare minimum expectation for mods but at the same time sending a single PM to a single mod and then throwing up your hands and going "welp, the ball is in their court" when you never get a response is pretty weak.

Basically imagine you're a wildlife biologist studying an endangered species that only lives in a single tiny habitat and suddenly one day you stop seeing them at all despite it being your job to find them. Then a couple years go by with no sightings and you're sad because in all likelihood the species is extinct and you're all set to move on with your life until out of the blue one of the creatures takes a dump on the hood of your car while looking you in the eye and the acid in the poo poo ruins the paint. That's what Gurf turning up again is like.
