I'm meeting some actors from the classic Scottish detective show TAGGART online today. It's where "there's been ah murder!" comes from if you've ever heard anyone do a OTT Scottish accent they've probably said that. I wrote a script where one of them is farting all the time and they have to act it out because my university is paying them to. Life is mental.

Do you mean horror movies or movies in general? In either case 70s films were full or rape and racism. That said, I would agree that Bush era horror films were probably more "evil" than those of the 70s. There was a whole wave of horror films in those years that were incredibly mean spirited and sadistic. And it wasn't just the so called "torture porn" films like Saw and Hostel. That air was just hanging all over the horror genre at that time. It took me a while to realize it but this is what Dickeye* was talking about when she referred to Joyride as the last of the pre-9/11 horror movies. *FREE DICKEYE

One of her more regular TV gigs was directing episodes of a SWAT remake I only know exists because she worked on it and if you follow her twitter she's most definitely not a fan of cops. She's iconoclastic and an important voice but I definitely don't agree with her 100% and I'm pretty sure she'd say you shouldn't agree with any celebrity 100%.
