I got a spice grinder that was on sale on Gizmodo. I was thinking, "Cool! Now I can grind up whole spices for a fresher taste!" I realized what it really was when I got it and it didn't do well with the cumin seeds. Oops. Came in handy later when I got my first connection in a decade. Makes me wonder how many people buy those fancy aluminum fuel filters.

I got my PBN kits today, which is unusually fast, but I guess if you drop $60 on a single store they bump your priority in shipping. I chose to get two of the five pre-mounted to wood frames, and three without, to see how I like the difference (there IS a cost difference too). And of course two of them look overly simple, one looks moderately fun, and one looks incredibly hard and has some shmutz across a couple numbers that I'll have to decipher what color goes in that spot later. At least with a couple simple ones I'll have them done fast and move on to the rest? Still waiting on the stitching kits.
