In 2, the Roots of Yggdrasil theme is such a good first impression https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj1rhrzhf-c Such a great, bombastic loop. I think I might have finally forgotten enough about LM2 to finally replay it, though it's a shame they never ended up adding more...I really wanted a 3rd child area, it seemed like they did have one planned but never went through with making it.

I saw some cut sprites of them somewhere back when the game released, and ever since I wanted to see them in action yeah, i feel like they ran out of money at like 85% completion and had to cut a bunch of stuff. the game definitely doesnt feel as complete as 1 does. like, its weird that there's no hell temple equivalent and i feel like they needed one more pass on the puzzles. ton of reused assets from 1 too. it's still a stone cold classic but i wish theyd had like another year on it
