and neither of my characters got anything at all but a lot of the runaway top tier characters got some actual balancing, and it's nice to see that Sakurai gives a poo poo.

I forgot to watch the Sakurai presentation earlier so I have now, and it's really cool learning that Kirby's copy abilities are actually stronger than the originals. Makes sense though, Kirby does have infinite power, so he's better than everyone else.

Pyra and Mythra are basically like being able to switch between Sonic and Ganondorf on the fly and it rules insanely hard

Was it always a thing in Ultimate? I thought it only applied to just when Kirby copied Pyra/Mythra, since he cannot freely switch. But it makes sense from a balancing perspective since he has to work towards copying something and that's dependent on who's he's fighting against.

The game design of the Blade duo feels a lot nicer compared to Zelda/Sheik and Pokemon Trainer. The stat differences and the similar movesets appropriately make them feel a bit more like Shulk, who I also think is really fun.
