When you buy a home you're investing in something that will raise in value, you van take up non-predatory loans and you have somewhere to sleep. When you're retning you are also investing in something that will raise in value but someone else is benefitting from that value. Because the rent is so high it's also impossible to save up money in order to her a mortgage. You are also forced to take up predatory loans because if you doesn't own something of value ( like a home) no one else will give you a loan with better terms.

I enjoyed the leftovers but it didn't blow me away, tbh. my favorite part was the score, which was great

in fact, I'll say it: I liked Lost a lot better (and I watched it after i watched the leftovers). yes, the ending was silly and the last season sucked, but all the characters were so great, and the buildup of all the mysteries is still so well done. remember that part where they almost don't press the button in the hatch in time, and the flap display countdown goes down past zero and starts showing red Egyptian hieroglyphics? man that was cool

I'll admit it was a blast watching week to week for a couple years. people talked about that show a ton while it was airing. it's like the only show I caught at the pilot and stuck along
