Even spandex doesn't work like that. It's an extremely common mistake among amateur comic artists, so it's not a surprise that Mookie hasn't bothered to learn not to do it after 20 years.

She's also definitely covered in wrinkles like her skin doesn't fit her properly, it keeps getting drawn with a 3Dness to it that scars like that wouldn't have.

Thinking about Mookie's response to "is she covered in scars or are they wrinkles?" was "you'll find out when Snout finds out!" motherfucker he is there he knows already.

To be fair, it's a extremely common mistake among horny artists amateur and otherwise. Lots of otherwise skilled artists in anime, comics, manga, and so on do it.
I mea, consider how insanely good Murata's art for One Punch Man is and he even does it.

Granted, talking about Murata and Mookie in the same thread makes me kind of want to vomit.

Yeah honestly the most frustrating thing about the artistic choice here is it reveals how horny Mookie is drawing while having basically no understanding of the mechanics of the things that make him horny.

I'm not against nudity in media at all, but I'm certainly against poorly drawn boobs and crotches when the author is clearly rock hard while putting pen to paper.

I’d prefer if they just drew with their boner, if they’re being totally honest with themselves and their audience.

I have a couple of friends who went into drawing porn because they were fed up of covering up all the anatomy they had spent years studying.

Mookie is here declaring he's gonna normalize nudity while drawing really sad dicks.

Yeah see, once again Mookie is doing the opposite of what competent people do. It's just his gimmick at this point. I suppose we'll find out he was interning in Wuhan in late 2019 at this rate.

Interlude: The Best of Dominic Deegan

Art's a little anime, but not the worst. City definitely looks better.

Hey look it's Garth! As flat as Star Power, in terms of colouring and movement.

Already scraping the bottom of the barrel for good moments

This is actually one of the worst moments

While this is the absolute worst. I do like the art for this one though, the characters are really well realized in a way that Mookie has never achieved

This one is accurate, because despite how Mookie intended it, it was probably the most emotionally impactful thing he ever wrote

Celesto as L from Death Note sort of works.

Again, art is not terrible. Luna and Dominic's relationship, on the other hand, is one of the worst in fiction

Lol that this is an arc someone decided to draw fan art of. Look at those cute anime sexual assaulters!

Klo Tark also easily one of the worst characters in fiction.

This one is cool. Well realized and legitimately a good twist on Mookie's part.

I also actually really like this one. I would read a comic with this art and the joke works much better here in one panel than it did in the comic

It's somewhat amazing how every one of those pieces of fanart from a decade ago still brutally outshine his artwork now.

Also having nostalgia of the days when people would shout "COMIC SANS!" as a burn.

Just thinking about that mavpel spread makes me sick to my stomach. Just trying to visualize it gave me a cavity. Really though there's probably no better scene in the series that better portrays a Deegan as a complete man-child. Greg could spend his entire life constructing a civilization of couch forts and not come across as as childish.

There's just something viscerally disturbing about Ink Witch's look of lust/adoration/I-got-my-stooge-back while she places Snout's ableist tag on his new outfit. The second most disturbing thing is seeing Snout's wagging tail. Seriously, that thing looks like a vibrating dong. :gizz:

It's all made of plants. There are things like carnivorous monster plants in Maltak for the orcs to hunt. Orcs can't even eat meat and their tusks are used for ripping into plant monster flesh.

Meanwhile in real life, this is a herbivore

Anyone important they meet will be fully fluent in the same language as them, so there's no reason to look up how to write "deaf" in any other languages.

I've said it a bunch of times in this thread, but I sincerely used to believe that Dominic Deegan was the literal nadir of human creative endeavor. If you had asked me a decade ago if Mookie or anyone else could do worse than DD, I'd have said no.

And this loving thing blows DD away so completely and effortlessly. It's loving breathtaking.

I eagerly await The Legacy of Snout in XX years so we can reach new depths of failure.

Like seriously. How is anyone this bad? I unironically think this compares unfavorably to Sonichu.

Rotten Red Rod
Mar 5, 2002

So I guess all the plot explanation we're going to get is:

* Dominic's legacy is that he nerfed all magic, and mages like Ink Witch and Orc Guy already knew this, but they are on a quest to discover more about it because

* The bad guys are bad because they are doing bad things like

* Snout's role in all this is

But hey, we're on to more important things, like getting naked again, new clothes with a brand new "I'M DEFECTIVE" patch, and delicious vegan food (it's SO GOOD!!!!!!! The BEST!!!!!! Did I mention how AMAZING IT IS???????)

Mookie's social media interactions for comic updates are in the low teens, as no one aside from undiscerning fans who somehow STILL like the original comic interact with him, and they universally all praise him. No one is mad because no one cares to even read his comic, aside from us.
