The obvious similarity in concept never occurred to me though and that's an interesting comparison. It's also entirely possible that the former film was an influence on Peele. Peele discusses it in this video, and I think he brings it up briefly on the commentary track as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBvcngHRTFg

And Gene Roddenberry. Not because of that footage just because that man cummed so much that it broke the barriers of time and is floating all around through every era of humanity and beyond.

Didn't his secretary deny ever having an affair with Roddenberry, but after she died people found her journals where she talked about how much she loved getting railed by him?

HBO max have created "modern trailers" for a bunch of classic films (as well as some not so classic, and some that seem pretty drat "modern" already, looking at you Training Day). I really dug the one for Dog Day Afternoon, which leans into the quirky comedy beats https://youtu.be/3STmwLDDBcI Full list

I stumbled upon those the other day while looking for the Tron modern trailer that made the rounds a few years back. It's a delicate art making a modern trailer, since much like a modern poster you have to balance fandom vs. new viewers as a split audience. I think those do a good job balancing the two, both encapsulating the spirit of the films while throwing some fanservice moments in there for the diehards. It would be really easy to just make "Hey remember THIS??" trailers, which is what most examples on YouTube are.

He was the absolute horniest mother fucker in history and hosed constantly. One time he was had someone he just hosed going out the back door of his office while his wife and secretary were outside. He was also cheating on his wife with his secretary. Gene Roddenberry was horny personified. This famous quote from his is what I was referencing: quote:As for pleasure, my idea of pleasure is waves and waves and waves of cum exploding out of me. He said this to a guy over the phone who then had to move the phone far away from his head because he was laughing so hard.

Gonna have to recommend a particular excerpt from the Cum Town podcast. Name oddly apt for the subject, for once. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvzRIj-8nrw (the Trek + Roddenberry stuff being just before the Seinfeld stuff, but the Seinfeld stuff ruling)

I'm imagining someone who has never heard of Cumtown listening to that video because from the context of the thread discussion they expect it to have interesting behind-the-scenes Star Trek stories.

Fittingly, she plays Troi's horny mom.

Majel was his wife and was not only in every incarnation of star trek, she was the computer voice on every version.

One of my favourite things about CineD threads would be when they'd veer to Star Trek and Timby would pop in to talk about Roddenberry giving his wife an infection.CelticPredator posted:I’m watching cherry rn to see if Tom Holland farts blood Thank you for your service.

A few goons were insisting pornographic fanart might as well be the same thing as the original movie. I'm the one realising she's got the same expression as Slappy Squirrel, and her in the role would be a much more entertaining movie.
