I think the weird coding things and events are what makes the forums extremely cool, and Lowtax never came back to post did he, I don't really see what permaing him would accomplish and making it a cool contest to fund the forums after what I assume was a pricey smash-grab, it makes sense to put in the extra effort to make it cool. Lmao that they chose the option that takes 6 months. They could've made the guy a GBS IK, request the ban, admin approves it, remove IK powers. But no let's have the new coder spend his time altering the forum coding to allow for a one time ban.

The issue was the wanted to make him able to file the ban on a long archived gas chamber post, neither of which is normally possible and anything having to do with modifying the archive is a nightmare.

The covid thread in feb-april was pretty insane. As bad as it's gotten, goons in the dnd covid thread were positing the loving apocalypse by mid-march. There was a mutlti-page argument about whether it was stupid to walk into your house without disinfecting your shoes.
