Sugartime Jones
Saw Big Brave open for SunnO))), which was a good choice because Big Brave are loud enough to stand a chance against the aural assault that is your average SunnO))) show. Good show, would go and get deafened again.

like yeah the body and big|brave are slammin' but how exactly are you gonna be doing that when you hear this artist perform before both of them and you havent ever heard them before. it just sucks the loving air out of the room in a good? way, especially the last song:

I'm only partways through the first track and this is already a fuckin' trip. Good stuff!

Also the fuzz tone is immaculate.

Pretty excited about this. They've become one of my favorites.

I haven't listened to any Stoner/Doom in a while even though I love the genre, and this Repeater EP by King Buffalo whips rear end. It kinda reminds me of some of the more mellow Earth stuff--like off of The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull--but I'm really liking the bass licks and vocals here a ton. Thanks to whoever namedropped them earlier on this page; I'm excited to see what they release!

I was listening to the new DVNE album on Bandcamp (good stuff, progressive sludge with definite Mastodon and Tool influences, kind of builds from where their last album left off), and it led me to this band called Fange which was pretty cool. Really filthy fuzzy sludge/death/doom/hardcore, etc

Fange owns. They have some of the grossest guitar tones ever.

“Solid Gold Hell” (originally by The Scientists)
“Be Forewarned” (originally by The Macabre)

“Situation” (originally by Josephus)
“It’s Trash” (originally by The Cavemen)
“Motorcycle (Straight to Hell)” (originally by Table Scraps)

I only recognize the Scientists (because the Melvins and Mudhoney covered them) and Hawkwind but I kinda dig it because maybe these groups get some exposure and they might be good!
