I never watched this show but the clip in the OP is pretty much exactly how I always imagined it was. It also always sort of looked to me like it started out as a FMV game that got cancelled and they just decided to continue as a TV show.

i just wanted to say that i also own the lexx box set. lexx is a great show and i legit wrote into the space channel in canada when it looked like they were going to cancel it after season 2 or 3. you're welcome. also ellen dubin (giggerota) is super proud of the show and will talk to you about it on twitter. she is cool. e: the guy who played general hammond (rip) on sg1 also said he loved lexx so that settles it. i’m in the middle of s2 (solo) after confusedly/drunkenly watching the showtime movies with a friend this show is like if a ps1 cutscene could get a boner. it’s a cd-rom game you’re not allowed to interact with. every six minutes i’m muttering under my breath, “i’m losing my loving mind”. every letter in the logo has a foreskin that the top half is emerging from. it’s like a skinemax version of Speed where you have to be horny all the time but if there’s any sex everyone dies. i hate it. i’m going to watch every episode
