I know Lazerbot is influenced by a lot of anime, but I have been watching Black Clover and this by pure coincidenc a lot like TGT. They introduced a character who controls vines right before revealing that a villain's third eye takes control of his body when he's nearly defeated. During an arc where all the heroes attack the villains' castle (which consists of a series of grey corridors), the villains are revealed to be a group of ancient people who were persecuted by humans, and the main villain is a character whose power is based on saying words.
