No its unironically the owners fault for putting the dog in an unfamiliar, loud place with a lot of new people walking around. And then keeping him there after the first time he bit someone.

I said that the CDC says 3 feet distancing is allowable in schools. It says that.

No, it does not. It states something else in extremely plain English. Read the link in your post.

Here is a quote from the link in your post:

quote:

Middle school students and high school students should be at least 6 feet apart in communities where transmission is high, if cohorting is not possible. Cohorting is when groups of students are kept together with the same peers and staff throughout the school day to reduce the risk for spread throughout the school. This recommendation is because COVID-19 transmission dynamics are different in older students – that is, they are more likely to be exposed to SARS-CoV-2 and spread it than younger children.

...

These updated recommendations are specific to students in classrooms with universal mask wearing.

CDC continues to recommend at least 6 feet of distance:

Between adults in the school building and between adults and students.
In common areas, such as school lobbies and auditoriums.
When masks can’t be worn, such as when eating.
During activities when increased exhalation occurs, such as singing, shouting, band practice, sports, or exercise. These activities should be moved outdoors or to large, well-ventilated spaces whenever possible.
In community settings outside of the classroom.

That is not just “the political CDC decided the confines of a school mean three feet is fine,” or some other misleading hot take.

It explicitly says three feet "if transmission is low" is acceptable and a lot of schools are going off exactly that. It's literally the first bullet. I have no idea what you're talking about. If you think that's not leading to schools doing 3 feet there are a lot of school teachers who would disagree.

I have quoted your own link. It is to the CDC stating that adults must maintain six feet separation from each other and from kids. It says that in the context of universal masking, some categories of children can be within three feet only of other children and only during certain specific activities, and only in communities at certain levels of spread with specific safety measures.

Please read the link you posted. Don’t stop after the first sentence or two.

So...the CDC said that kids can be within three feet in school. Which is what I said. Schools are using exactly that as guidance. Do you think an adult can actually stay 6 feet away from a classroom of kids three feet from each other. Do you think the CDC did not know that saying kids can be within 3 feet of each other would be taken as a green light.

This all feels very much like the redux of 1400=2000. Take all these facts as exactly the same, but pretend Trump is still in charge. I'm guessing a lot of people here would have very different opinions on these same facts.

It doesn't say all kids can be within 3' of each other or that adults can be within 3' of kids. You are misrepresenting the guidance and blaming people not following the guidance on the guiding agency. Its a rather disingenuous take.

If kids are masked and at a low level of exertion, and there's not a lot of community transmission, it's probably possible to drop the distance between them. If this did not raise the risk to others above the level of someone getting killed by a car on the way to or from school, I think its a pretty acceptable compromise due to the costs associated with online learning, especially on low income families.
