On the upside, maybe you could get mad rutty with the social worker that shows up later. A.o.D. fucked around with this message at 23:08 on Apr 14, 2021 |

Pat knows how to act when it's serious time, which is one of the few things he has over the other two cats. He takes himself way too seriously so that makes perfect sense.

Pat's great crusade is "barbers are overpaid," which really casts him as the sort of person who gets mad because he's bored. Makes sense that he'd fall into a normal gear when there's stakes closer to home.

There's a text piece somewhere about Rod and Pat on a date and they actually come across as really nice and cute together. I think Pat just has his woes (and also his character wobbled around a little as Onstad figured out everybody's voice). Edit: I really like Pat as a character mostly because of the strip where he slides from being giddy about coming out to chiding his dad for not taking the obligations of queerness seriously enough, which is one of my favorite little snippers of a super common thing that I've ever seen. The comedy comes from seeing Pat do it over the course of about 5 seconds. I assume that coming out has loosened some of Pat's psycho controlling tendencies; some rabbits may even survive coming into his yard. Still a racist rear end in a top hat, though.

Yeah I think that's the one where they realize they've found "our place" and they're just so happy and contented about it, it's really sweet
