I liked love death and robots, Glow, and season 1 of Altered Carbon. They greenlit stuff that wouldn’t see Tv and I appreciate that. Plus horny gambling anime.

Just saw Onward so I wouldn’t get it spoiled by the Pixar behind the scenes documentaries. A lot of fun, beautiful performances, and just enough of the world that things makes sense without the Cars “Wait, how does any of this work?”

Like the completely inhuman way he reacts to the woman getting crushed. The twist, if you can call it that, at the end is so anticlimactic, because the whole point seems to be that it doesn't matter, at least not to him, if he's actually in a simulation or not: by treating AIs that are essentially human as expendable commodities, actual humans begin to seem the same way. The subtext appears to be that the purpose of the simulation is to use AI scenarios to avoid another rise of Nazism, but in so doing they have just become Nazis again. I should probably watch part 2 before I ask anything else. But I feel pretty confident in saying that spiritually, aesthetically, philosophically, it's more Phil K Dick than any of the official adaptations of his work that I've seen. Captures the emotional gravity of Dick's ideas in a way that, for example, Ridley Scott failed to do with Blade Runner.
