I didn't know till I left that my camera settings were a bit hosed, so sorry for the bad image quality. It was a brilliant white in real life. If anything this has convinced me to learn more about my camera so I can make the most of it next time I see this.

I know nothing about photography and mean this in a super complimentary way: those are nearly perfect 2004-2005 camera phone photos, just with much higher resolution.

Seeing an NSX in real life vs photos is my biggest "holy poo poo" moment in car spotting. They absolutely beautiful cars.

Nissan and Honda are really missing out on a big chunk of money by not just pulling the old tooling out of wherever and modernising classic cars. gently caress even build to the same old specs and people will gobble them up.

I can't begin to imagine the costs in doing this but it certainly seems the same with Toyota and their Hilux pickups (94 and earlier here in the USA) and if they'd bring over a 40-esque Land Cruiser to compete with the Jeep and Broncos.

I actually wouldn't be terribly surprised if Toyota brings the FJ Cruiser back, that would be good enough for most people I reckon.

I love Amir's car. K20 with an EFR makes it even better.

There is another semi-well-known time attack NSX that has a K20C with Type R trans going into it right now too.

Seems like they'd have to sell them at such low volume to get around safety standards (old cars turn into origami in accidents) that it'd be cost-prohibitive.

Although if I won the lottery having a resto modded top of the line Accord would be fun.

Well, Jag and Aston do it with vastly simpler cars, and they’re all million pound plus per car. Also not road legal because of course they aren’t, it’s 2021.

Didn't get a photo but during my morning commute I saw a guy who had replaced his missing front rego plate with a 1:1 size colour photocopy of his rear plate. Looked pretty convincing, I only noticed because he was stopped at the intersection and I was walking past within 2m. Dude saw me do a double-take looking at his plates and just grinned :D

That's clever. We have to have the registration sticker on the rear plates but our required front plates are just the number and obviously the state, so for owners who don't want to drill a mount into bumpers that don't have them, they should just make some sort of reflexive vinyl sticker version available.
