It just blows my mind they a negligent discharge even into the ground isn’t an instant career ender and hefty civil penalty. Much less a person or dog. Dipshit privates and seamen are held to a higher standard.

Cause seriously, at least half of the "being charged by a dog so I shot at it, thus striking my own dog, my partner, and 2 kids playing stickball" is just a dog coming over and barking.

In Florida, an appellate court has just ruled that if police are in fear for their lives, they become victims under Marsy's law and are exempt from public disclosure of their names. This is because two Tallahassee police officers killed people last spring. One case a guy was across a parking lot in a bush with a knife. Another was someone expressly attempting to suicide by cop who had an unloaded gun on them and was shot 5 times in the back. https://www.1dca.org/content/download/728596/opinion/202193_DC13_04062021_132340_i.pdf There is no ability for police to be held accountable at all in Florida anymore.

Probably also stems from the cops no knock raiding a guys house, in plain clothes, attempting to arrest someone who lived there for prostitution so he opened fire on the people he thought were raiding his drat house.

That was a different situation. The guy there was found to have lawfully used force in self defense against the cops and charges against him were dropped. That situation would not change under this ruling as Marsy’s law was never implicated. The new decision is about cops killing people and then avoiding public scrutiny for their actions.

The one benefit to social media is that unless a cop kills someone when no one is around, they will likely be outed at some point. If a cop kills someone when no one is around (except other cops ofc) then we probably don’t hear about it anyway, so Where are all of the Jade Helm folks bitching about a police state?

A Black music producer was brutalized by police in his recording studio and his security cameras caught it on tape, adding to the furor against the French government that began with the gas tax and yellow vest stuff. Now, they're trying to pass legislation that prevents the publication of police identities on social media, including things like the video that sparked the backlash. Stravag posted:President isnt black so its all good now And also president isn't a Republican, so now it's time to forget about all the murders by cops, kids in cages, etc.

I looked up the story, he was pulled over because they couldn’t see his license plate. There is a temp taped on the rear window, weird that they missed that! Also they pepper sprayed him while he tried to explain he was worried about getting shot if he undid his seatbelt

# ? Apr 10, 2021 14:50 |
Remember when that kid was crawling on his hands and knees in hysterics in the hotel hallway and the cops shot him because he reached to pull his pants up? Remember when Philando Castile was reaching for his license and cops kept shouting over his explanations and then shot him in front of his partner and her 4-year-old daughter? I’m not reaching for anything either.
