Raul Julia was the only one who knew what kind of movie they were making and played his role appropriately. Meanwhile, JCVD was so coked up, it's possible he didn't realise a movie was happening. Also the original cut got an age rating too low for the market they were aiming for, so they had him record a few more swears.
