TAZ as a whole works SO much better when it's bingeable. 2 weeks between episodes make things worse than they are. Not saying that it's good for it to be markedly improved upon relisten- the episodes should be enough as is to support a fandom growing and talking about it.

I got into TAZ when I had two weeks of highway driving all day to do for work, I’d listened to most of the first arc at that point but I binged like 3 whole arcs on that trip. It’s definitely easier to remember what’s going on when you can binge it, not that Balance was that complicated.

Low stakes crises can often be more interesting than save-the-world stuff in general. I think Amnesty scaled reasonably well, but I certainly could have done with fewer cases of "I take a step" "THE YEAR IS 1985. YOU ARE IN YOUR CHILDHOOD HOME. AGAIN."

I hate D&D as a product and WotC as a company, and Graduation just marinates in 5E in a truly miserable way. So I have a lot of affection for Amnesty, even with its very real flaws. (Yes, I listen to Rude Tales. The differences are that 1) Rude Tales is not fannishly fawning over D&D-as-Cultural-Iconography, and 2) Rude Tales is loving excellent)

Also most researchers like to cite their previous work in future publications (as usual you build of your previous work and you want to point readers to it) this number means it's really a dead-end for papers that want to be mothballed forever. For general calibration at least in the scientific field I worked in back when I was publishing academic papers I wrote about a dozen and they've been cited about 5-100 times as a range. Using a podcast to rip into the language of gender studies papers sounds like something Joe Rogan has probably already done. The paper looks poorly thought out and researched, but academic language is what it is, and has its uses.
