Wtf are these rubick changes? Why do they keep on removing his great talents (+150 health and +100 cast range!) to buff telekinesis (wow +175 damage and a .6 stun how useful) I will never get a shard over blink + aghs

Also enigma got hit hard with the eidolon cool down nerf lol. Ice frog does not want jungle enigma back at all.

I'm wondering if people are not playing her correctly or we're missing something. Dotabuff doesn't have a winrate for her yet, but you can look at the item winrate and get a sense. It's absurdly low. If she's meant to be a carry I think her E might be undertuned. It's 180% crit at level 4, compared to WK's 260% (yes I know her's is every 4th attack versus his being every 4 seconds until 25 talent but I think that makes a minimal difference for the lion's share of the game). mikeraskol fucked around with this message at 00:03 on Apr 10, 2021 |

New hero seems extremely well statted but all her abilities are flashy nothing. •telegraphed melee-range 1s stun •telegraphed dash with minor slow/damage — this ability takes ages to trigger. Seriously like 2.5 seconds to hop 250 units over a cliff. It’s bad. •a free 2x Crit every 4 attacks that heals •amazing ultimate. Huge cooldown. I’m being purposefully negative on all that tho. She just doesn’t seem to pack damage, support, or crowd control. It’s a little of each. Maybe that’s enough when your kit has a global teleport that also AOE stuns.

Seems to be something slightly missing, it's like the other 3 abilities are severely weaker because the ult is so good. But it leaves her kind of positionless. She has to be a core and really needs damage/attack speed to do anything so offlane doesn't seem amazing, but her E isn't good enough (at least from my early impression) that you'd want to dump her safelane. And I don't know why she'd go mid instead of the actual good mid heroes. Basically she's not as good as Mars off (he has more burst and better control), not as good as WK safe (he farms faster and has a better crit for damage), and pales in comparison to real mids. I had a 70 minute game where someone picked her as safelane carry and the damage output was underwhelming. They got 25 kills but only did 10k more damage than the pos 4 Jakiro. It just felt like the game was super hard because even though we had HUGE sustain it felt like we were barely winning, until we eventually lost. Unless you win the game quickly it feels like damage > defense in Dota.

Kind of more excited now for the follow-up patches - this one feels like it was sitting around for a while and doesn't really address a lot of the stuff that happened at the Major. Like Mars getting....buffed? I saw a Mason clip where he was yelling about Weaver getting nerfed despite being horrible and having a 35% winrate

I think it has to be safelane and maybe people just aren't building enough damage.

Someone showed me a video of a Dawnbreaker with a full six-slotted inventory using her Q on a group of level 25 axes with no items and she does like 15% of their HP yeah she seems worse than bad

Why can't Dawnbreaker be an aggressive pos 5 that helps win the early game for your pos 1. You can harass, heal, slow, catch and then use your ult like a black hole lite allowing you to jump in globally? Edit: Maybe a natural holy locket wearer? Can anyone explain the NP changes to me? I really really don't get it. The hero was already in the toilet for the most part and they nerfed the one thing he was actually good at, being annoying for the first 5-10min. Then they buffed the thing his teammates hate him for, sucking up farm with his ult.

Pos5 wouldn't work but I want to see how effective a midgame aura carrier build would be. Grab a Mek, Vlads, Blink and group up early to force objectives. IMO the passive isn't enough to justify going full right-click on her.

I just thought about it for ten seconds and realized no Necro in the game anymore means no Lycan/Tusk can farm their 12 min Necro3 and make it so you can never ward ever again and now I'm all for the change

The numbers on her abilities just suck. They are good in concept but the damage is sad. It’s legitimately laughable to compare her on release to someone like MK, whose numbers were just outrageous.

DB seems alright as a ganking 4. Her skills are really underwhelming on their own but they definitely complement your carry in the early game and become a nuisance as time passes. Phase into Blink and then auras?
