Got my first Pfizer shot today. Felt lightheaded and had chills for literally 10 minutes then back to normal the rest of the day. 👍

If Erowid has taught me anything over the years - and I love that community - it's that humans will snort/shoot/smoke/shove up their butt everything they come across and sometimes multiple things at the same time and that some of those humans love to write about their experiences so the rest of us don't have to try any of that poo poo and can skip straight to the good stuff that doesn't kill us.

I'm at the clinic waiting for a few minutes after my second moderna shot. Hopefully I only get a sore arm like I did from the first shot.

J&J trip report: First day fine, sore arm.

Second Day: Wake up in the morning feeling, "Eh minor flu feeling without being icky" fatigue. Dragging by 1100. Left work at noon and passed out till the next morning.

Third Day: Sore from sleeping off fatigue for 18 hours. Otherwise fine.

Confirmed sample size of 5 friends who got same shot. One felt OK. Was mocked for being a broken person.

I'm at "athletic constitution" so just be prepared to get hit by a truck the morning after.

First dose of AZ done. The clinic is extremely efficient and didn't ask for proof that you qualified so it's a good option for anyone willing to travel to Western Sydney. They have same day appointments available.

Got second moderna shot yesterday. Woke up with e headache, some body pains and a 99.5 fever.

Looking forward to the day I'm not paranoid about idiots who can't wear a simple mask properly. Two weeks from now it'll have been well worth it.

I was GOING to get my shot yesterday. But because some English people got blood clots or something, it's been put on hold here in this loving Australian hospital.

So I just went to work instead (I work in the hospital precinct but not in the hospital itself). And I got permission to leave early because I started early, but then I had to transfer some FBS (which has to be done aseptically because FBS is like delicious liquid cow juice and bacteria love it), and ended up leaving late instead.

Now I'm drunk on hard cider! Whee!

No. They actually ask you if you have tested positive in the last 2 weeks and won’t administer the vaccine if you say yes.

So I just RIDE IT OUT I guess. Officially day 2 since my diagnosis - I don't really feel all that different. Maybe a mild headache, if that. Maybe a little achy. That's it.

So I'm not 100% sure of the timeline of this virus, but could this be all it brings to the table for me? Or am I at the start and I'm fuckin' IN FOR IT later?

About 24 hours after my first Pfizer shot and I'm way improved from yesterday after a normal night's sleep. Kinda wish I was a bit sicker so I could go home from work but I'd feel guilty claiming that.

Arm's a bit sore but nothing a fall couldn't have caused. Best thing is that I just don't feel as slow and dumb and floaty as I did yesterday.

Where do you live? I've heard almost nothing about that vaccine except that it's from China (obvious from the name) and that it's a more traditional vaccine instead of mRNA. Just curious how you ended up taking that one vs. the more common ones that everyone itt has been discussing.

I’m in Chile, whose vaccination program’s success is founded on buying any drat variant we can get our hands on. You don’t really get to choose you vaccine, although each site has a main vaccine it seems, so if you figure that out you can have more selection. The closest site to me only had Sinovac, but now also has Pfizer too

Word! I lived in Chile for a year, love that country. And yeah any vaccine is infinitely better than none, provided it actually works which that one does

Lucky you, Chile is an example in SA on how to handle an immunzation program. Over here we have gotten a few Sputniks, Sinovac and AstraZeneca, enough for 170,000 people on a 3 million people province with no near future shipments.

Both my parents have medical conditions so they managed to get the Sinovac one (it is an inactivated COVID virus vaccine). They had no symptoms with the vaccine and I expect they get some by their second dose (supoosedly they mean the vaccine is working).

Funny thing is that at first everybody was “NOOOO, NOT THE CHINESE VACCINE” now everybody just wants to get their hands on a vaccine, any vaccine.

I'm glad they are getting it at least. Assuming your Argentinian, we are both pulling some really awful numbers atm

For the first dose they just let me walk away without explaining symptoms or anything. Outside of a sore arm for a few hours, I felt perfectly fine. But for the second one they were super clear about explaining the common side effects, ways to counteract them, and made me wait 30 minutes before leaving. With that preparation, I also assume there must be more symptoms this time.

At the moment I think I'm just psyching myself out a little about it. I'm questioning if every little weird feeling is a side effect or just me being tired on a Friday afternoon after a long week. At one point I was sure I was nauseous from the vaccine, but it was just gas lol

I feel a bit tired today but I walked 5km around a shopping centre after getting my vaccination yesterday so I doubt the tiredness is caused by the vaccine.

I have a very small area of mild tenderness at the injection site. It kind of feels like when you strain a muscle.
