The same for Roman numerals starts normally, then... I II III IV IX IL L LI et cetera. Surely this is good to know. e: I haven't checked where LXVI goes but probably not anywhere nice

Why is it "one hundred" in the title, but "hundred" in the list itself? This si bugging me more than it has any right to.

I wonder if iterating this enough times would produces a stable result

There are only finitely many orderings of the alphabet, so eventually you'll repeat. It might take a while though.

It might get into a cycle of switching between a few combinations, like aitch arr and ay switching places over and over or something

Unless you're one of them furriners who pronounce it "haitch".

India exported a crapload of vaccines to Bhutan, which only has 750k people, earlier this year. Then Bhutan kept it in storage until their buddhist leaders said "the stars were right" and then they basically vaccinated everyone at once.

To my eyes the contrast is fine on most of the site, and in a few places where it sucks, it already sucked in full color. Can someone help me understand what the problem is with turning it grayscale? Edit: According to an expert quoted in this article, the problems are non-accessibility-related https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/apr/12/visually-impaired-users-complain-rail-websites-greyscale-prince-philip But that doesn't explain why people with visual impairments are complaining. Though, actually, the person quoted in the first tweet never said they had any visual impairments. I don't know, I feel like I'm missing something obvious. I'm only basing this on accidentally switching to the high contrast colour scheme in Windows 98 a couple of times, but for some people it's easier to see toxic green on navy blue or whatever than just dark grey on white. But then the actual colour scheme on the website is not particularly high contrast either. Maybe Brett was just having a go there.

I've been trying to get a new video card since Oct but they're always out of stock or being sold for twice the sales price. Anyway today I looked at a site that allows backorders and had the following helpful graph supposedly covering the last two weeks worth of orders.

I like that the process of graphics card order fulfilment follows a slightly smooth interpolation. The process is not only not instantaneous it is also not perfectly linear, it accelerates and decelerates as the card comes closer to existing. Which implies the possibility of a sort of zeno's graphics card where it edges ever closer to existing without actually reaching it.
